Chocolate Fountain and Swimming

Ah, weekend memories!
It is Monday morning which means time for reminiscing about the events of my weekend.
Friday night was FUN! Kim, Amy, Melissa, Kayla, and I enjoyed a few hours of girl-time with each other. Kim provided some great food which included a chocolate fountain! Yum! We watched Hairspray, which was OK. It was cute, but I'm glad I never bought the movie as I don't feel like I will want to watch it again. Interesting that John Travolta played Mrs. Turnblad. Disturbing a little, too. Could've ditched the movie for more girl-talk though!
Andrew hung out at Amy's house with her husband and sons. He had a BLAST! They made chocolate chip cookies, a foam Pirate craft which included a hat, sword and eye patch, played the Wii, and watched Transformers. Talk about a guy's night of fun! And, just as I suspected, Andrew didn't want to leave.
Andrew and I headed to the YMCA Saturday morning and I got my workout on in the Step N Tone class.
Then, we spent the afternoon at Nicki's community pool for Christopher's 7th birthday party. We were in the pool from 12:30-6:30 with a half hour break for food and another half hour break for cake and presents. It was fun to swim with Andrew and his newly mastered swim techniques!
When we left at 6:30, it took Andrew approximately 2.3 minutes to fall asleep in the car and he stayed asleep until 7:30 the following morning! Geesh!
We made it to church in the nick of time for the picture. We took a group picture since it was our last service in the old building. Thankfully, the picture didn't require entirely too much time in the heat, although I did get a little sweaty which never thrills me. Oh well, it's not often the church moves locations, huh?!
On my schedule this week:
  • Helping Jeremy hang blinds tonight (since we didn't get to it yesterday)
  • Andrew's final 2 swim lessons in his Pike class on Tuesday and Thursday
  • Working out during Andrew's final 2 swim lessons on Tuesday and Thursday
  • Scrapbooking on Tuesday afternoon
  • Battlefield of the Mind study with Kayla, Kim, Cherish, Jill, and Mary on Friday evening

Normally I attend a Home Group on Tuesday nights and I teach kids at the church on Wednesday nights, but both of those events are on break this week. My goal: dinner at home 4 nights this week (instead of just Thursday night). I'll let you know how that goes.
