Chili

On Tuesday I made chili for the Home Group we attend. As I mentioned, this is award winning chili. As in, my mom found this recipe in a magazine and made it for a chili cook-off and won. I did the same, and won. It's not like we created this recipe. Therefore, I think it's fair to tell you how to make it.
Ingredients are as follows (or seen above and below):
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 pound ground beef
2 cans (15-1/2 ounces each) hot chili beans
1 jar (16 ounces) salsa
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, not drained
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
8 ounces process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Here's the beef and pork cooking away.
Ooh, and the cheese getting ready to be cubed.
And here it is being made into the chili. Be cautious, it is spicy, but it is really meaty and beany and heartily delicious! Tortilla chips and corn bread go good with it. Use sour cream to cool it off a bit.

Do you like how I remembered to use my camera?!
