I have finished all my work with a couple hours to spare. I guess not all of my work; I am waiting on a few items via email and return phone calls before I can do the rest of what I need to do... Anyway, I have nothing else to do but eat and/or update this blog. Thanks to Selene's yummy rice krispie treats I have a nice sugary treat and luckily my fingers are always up to typing a bunch of nonsense on my blog site.
Let's see... What's new? Hmmm... Same ol' same ol'. I shall give you an update on what I did this past weekend.
Friday night I met with Cherish and Jill to discuss chapters 6 and 7 of the Battlefield of the Mind book. We had a nice time and great discussions, of course! Like I said, same ol' same ol'. Item on my "to research" list: what's the difference between being filled with the Holy Spirit and being baptised in the Holy Spirit. Pastor Bill may be disappointed in me as he did a sermon series on this and it has already escaped my mind. PB - if you read this, please comment with the answer and don't be mad!!! =)
Saturday I fried away some brain cells. Haha! Not in the way you may think - I layed on an air mattress in a swimming pool for about 3 hours in Laveen with my buddy, Selene. We literally laid there and relaxed. We tried hard to not have any conversations that involved much thinking. We were both in the mood to just veg. We went back to her place and watched Tristan and Isolde which I liked. It was a similar story to Romeo and Juliet, but a little sadder. There was no death, but I was sad for Lord Marke (he was in love with Isolde, but she was in love with Tristan). I had a roller coaster of emotions in that movie, which I normally HATE, but all in all, I enjoyed the movie.
After church yesterday, Jeremy and I ate lunch with a few people and went shopping. Jeremy opted to spend $100 of his money he won for weighing under 190 lbs. for more than 4 weeks on Rock Band for Play Station 2. I haven't seen Jeremy so happy since Andrew was born and he saw he had a son. Hee hee. That's an exaggeration, but he was happy just the same.
We went and hung out at Kristi's for a little bit and then headed home. Jeremy and I were able to play 3 or 4 songs on Rock Band before going to sleep. I discovered that I do quite well on the Base Guitar. I did a song on the hard level. I didn't get a great percentage, but I didn't get booed off stage. That is how I define "quite well." This is on a song I've never "performed" before----thank you very much.
Tonight, I will pick up Andrew and head home for more Rock Band! What a loser, huh?! I know, I know! Josh has a Battle of the Rock Bands coming up, I hear, so I must prepare! =) Now if only I can join a band...
